Church History & Information
Rouse Hill Anglican Church was planted in February 2004. We started meeting at a room in the Rouse Hill Anglican College with about 15 people but grew out of the space available there. Before we were planted, there was a single larger area looked after by Kellyville Anglican Church However a brand new Parish, or geographical area of responsibility was established- That is called Rouse Hill Anglican Parish. Rouse Hill Anglican now has a purpose-built building as our physical headquarters: The Ministry and Education Centre was opened in March 2008. We have two congregations that meet on Sundays with regular ministries during the week. Rouse Hill Anglican planted Stanhope Anglican Church in 2007, which has now gone on to become a congregation overseen by Quakers Hill Anglican Church.
Rouse Hill Anglican Church is made up of a growing group of ministries seeking to connect with people and connect them to God through an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. Many of us have no previous church experience, but have begun following Jesus recently. We are committed to Jesus as he is revealed in God’s Word, and seek to live active fruitful lives of service enabled by God’s Grace.
We want to try new things and be creative, while being firmly committed to the final authority of God’s Word- so want that to have a central place in all we do. We are serious about showing the relevance, purpose and great joy of following Christ in this broken world. We want to TELL the truth . We want to work as a TEAM, with all members contributing. We want to TRAIN leaders to grow the effectiveness of our ministry. We want to see TRANSFORMATION or real change in peoples lives as as they connect with Jesus, and have the Holy Spirit’s empowering.
We are a Provisional Parish in the Anglican Diocese of Sydney
